A Guest Lecture on Altruism (Theme of the event as Ethics, Empathy & Effective Communication: The Core of Medical Practice) for undergraduates 2025 Batch & Faculty members of SMBT IMS & RC was organized by Medical Education Unit on 22/12/2025 at College Auditorium 10 am to 12:30 pm. The session was delivered by the esteemed speaker Dr. Swati Shiradkar, MBBS, MD (OBGY), PhD, Dean, Shri Ramchandra Institute of Medical Sciences.

The program commenced with a warm welcome of Dr Shiradkar by MEU Coordinator Dr Khadatkar, Dr Lambe IQAC Coordinator and brief introduction by Dr. Sonone member of MEU. Respected Dean Dr Mohgaonkar madam gave her valuable insights.
Guest Lecture was insightful and thought-provoking lecture highlighting altruism as a fundamental virtue in medical practice. The lecture aligned well with AETCOM competencies, reinforcing professionalism, compassion, and moral responsibility among future medical practitioners. Approximately 200 were the attendees.
