This program was conducted by Dr. Triveni Kale,Professor,Pg guide and PHD guide Dept. Of Periodontics, MGV’s KBH Dental College. As this topic is very important in research, wherein selecting the research question for any research is dependat on either a quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approach, depending on the nature of your research question and goals. In this session Qualitative research methodology was discussed.Qualitative methods generally aim to understand the experiences and attitudes of patients, the community or health care worker. These methods aim to answer questions about the 'what', 'how' or 'why' of a phenomenon rather than 'how many' or 'how much', which are answered by quantitative methods all this areas she explained in detailed manner with very interesting examples. hence output of this session will be that students can conduct research according to their area of interest with more clearity about the type of study.
