Dr. Vakil conducted first lecture on treatment of difficult malocclusion using TADs. TADs significantly reduce the treatment time using skeletal anchorage. He showed various cases treated by him during the second session. He discussed and demonstrated placement of TADs in patient. In the afternoon session, Dr. Vakil observed ongoing cases of post graduate students.On the second day of the course was dedicated to mandibular Advancement with aligners is an orthodontic treatment aimed at correcting dental and skeletal discrepancies, particularly in cases of mild to moderate class II malocclusions, where the lower jaw is positioned too far back in relation to the upper jaw.Dr. K. Vakil sir oriented the participants about the mechanism of the aligners which shift the teeth and promote forward movement of the mandible (lower jaw) to improve occlusion and facial aesthetics.He also told about Temporary Anchorage Devices have revolutionized the treatment of complex malocclusions in orthodontics, providing clinicians with powerful tools to achieve effective and efficient tooth movement. Their use allows for more predictable outcomes and can significantly improve patient satisfaction.
