International Conference on Traditional Medicine by SMBT Pharmacy

To focus on recent research and development on Traditional Medicine and the clinical study of herbal medicine, SMBT has taken step towards a scientific community meeting by organizing International Conference on Traditional Medicine in January 2020.

The conference theme was "Exploring quality assurance and phytochemical research in traditional medicine practiced for treatment and healing". Speakers from PSU Thailand, the University of Tabuk Saudi Arabia, and Malahyati University Indonesia delivered lectures during the first ICTM. 281 National & 03 International delegates attended the first ICTM.

Looking into an overwhelming response to the first ICTM, SMBT has decided to continue the tradition and organized the 2nd ICTM on 8th Jan 2021 on the background of the COVID pandemic. 2nd ICTM was organized and conducted online. Despite this, renewed speakers from International Islamic University Malaysia, Kathmandu University Nepal, and the University of Ilorin, Nigeria have delivered lectures during the second ICTM .117 national and 87 international delegates participated registered. The theme for the second ICTM was "Development and modern trend in traditional formulation 2021".

3rd ICTM was conducted Online and physically mode on the 7th and 8th Jan 2022. Speakers from Northern Marianas College Saipan USA, Gandaki Medical College Nepal, University of Colombo Srilanka, Amasya University Turkey, and CSPC, Philippines were invited as keynote speakers. For the first time, a speaker from a European country will be represented.

We are planning to organize the 4th ICTM on the 6th and 7th Jan 2023. Esteem speakers from National Herbarium and Plant Laboratories Nepal, National University of Singapore, Prince of Songkla University Thailand, Malahayati University Indonesia, Royal University of Bhutan, Lotus Holistic Health Institute Abudhabi UAE, University of Colombo Srilanka invited as keynote speakers
