Since 1980, global climate change has been one of the main concerns of this planet. Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted, and trees are flowering sooner. The materialism of humans is destroying the environment. The amount of rainfall is coming down. There is a simple solution to this which is - Plant more trees.

Dandakarynaya - As an initiative of SMBT's founder trustee Late Bhausaheb Thorat started this mass movement of tree plantation. A movement that would be run for the people, by the people.

The 16th edition of the Dandakarynaya campaign, which has played a pivotal role in conserving the environment, was celebrated recently. Under this campaign, SMBT has set up a 50-acre forest at Kolwade, where more than forty thousand medicinal plants were planted. We want the mass tree plantation movement to remain forever in the hands of the people and contribute to saving our planet from all global climate change challenges.
